Cut off marks are the minimum marks which a candidate must obtain in order to qualify the NEET exam. Our society is divided into different categories, and each of these categories has a different cut off marks for Result of NEET 2016. As per the announcement made by the organisers of NEET exam, candidates from the general candidate will have to obtain at least 50 percent marks to qualify the NEET phase 1 exam.
In other words, the cut off marks for general category candidates is 50%. For candidates belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe as well as other backwards classes, the cut off percentage for NEET phase 1 exam is 40%. Also, there is a category called general PH category for whom the cut off marks is set to be 45 percent.
